It’s not really a trip if you didn’t visit to any of the prominent religious buildings. For instead, I went to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona last time. Not because I really enjoyed it, mainly because, well, I had to. :|

So when I was in Phuket, I went to Wat Tham Suwankuha (Buddha Cave Temple).

It’s also known as Monkey Cave Temple, mainly because the place’s infested with monkeys. And I do believe “infested” is the correct word to describe it because THERE WERE MONKEYS EVERYWHERE!

They would be jumping from trees to trees here or scratching their balls there. But perhaps the scariest of all, they would go bananas… for bananas!

Yikes! :|

I didn’t buy any bananas for the monkeys when I was there, mainly because the last thing I wanted on my holiday getaway was molested by a group of monkeys.

But then I saw this monkey sitting alone.

He was all alone and nobody was willing to give him a banana. Seeing him so forever alone-ish, I felt bad for him. :(

Since I didn’t have any bananas with me, I gave him this instead.

I’m pretty sure this candy is called gumdrop. And guess what?

HE LOVED IT. :D

I continued to give him some of my gumdrops and I even managed to attract some of the nearby monkeys, which was my cue to leave the area. :|

Anyway, The Girlfriend managed to snap a picture of when I gave him the candy.

HAHAHAHAHA!

It looks like when E.T. and Elliot’s fingers touching. We’re forming an inter-species friendship! :D

But if you asked me, I feel it’s more like this.

Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, baby. *cue Hallelujah hymn*

I won’t be able to recognize the monkey I befriended for 83 seconds, but wherever that monkey is, I wish him all the best in life and that he will have a lot of monkey friends to play with and have a lot of bananas to eat and…

Uh-oh.
